Joyce Sharp Weaver - of West Knoxville, died peacefully Saturday morning March 17, 2012 after 95 wonderful years.
She was a member of Second United Methodist Church for over 60 years and the Flossie Cox Sunday School Class. Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 53 years, Frank K. Weaver, partner in Weaver Funeral Home, and then later along with his son Gary, founded Cumberland Memorial Chapel, and son, Dale Weaver.
She is survived by her devoted family, son and special daughter-in-law, Gary and Belinda Weaver of Farragut; loving grandchildren, Kent and wife Meredith Weaver of Knoxville, Whitney Weaver of Farragut; great granddaughter, Mary Reagan Weaver; several nieces and nephews; and special devoted friend Sara Burns.
A special thanks to the management and staff at Little Creek Sanitarium for their heartfelt and compassionate care of Mrs. Weaver and her family.
The family will receive friends 6:30 - 7:30 pm Monday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:30 p.m. with Dr. Jerald Russell and Rev. M. C. Taylor officiating.
The family and friends will meet at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel by 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and proceed to Highland Memorial Cemetery for a 11:00 A.M. interment service.
The family request memorials may be made to Second United Methodist Church, 1524 Western Avenue, Knoxville, Tennessee 37921.
