Turner, John Warren (John T.) – age 63, of Knoxville, born September 5, 1948, died Wednesday, February 15, 2012. He was a beloved son, brother, and uncle. John was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in McDonough, Georgia and Bryansville, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Lock Haven State College, Lock Haven, Pennsylvania with a B.S. degree in Secondary Mathematics. John was the Co-Owner of Westown Chrysler Plymouth prior to being General Manager of the Knoxville Auto Auction. John Prided himself in helping many others get started in business. In retirement he enjoyed wholesaling used cars. He loved Nascar, University of Tennessee sports, and a good joke. He will be greatly missed by his family and many dear friends. John is survived by his parents, John and Ruth Turner; brother, Jim Turner and wife Susan; sister, Marty McGreevy and husband Pat, Mary Desmond and husband Kevin, Diane Montgomery and husband Jim; many special nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life service Sunday 3:30 pm at Cokesbury United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Steve Sallee officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Cokesbury United Methodist Church Manna House, 9919 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 – 3:15 pm at Cokesbury United Methodist Church. Arrangements by Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
