Moore, Faye Toney, age 77, of White, Georgia, died May 30, 2012, after fighting a courageous battle against lung cancer. She was a warm, loving and wonderful woman and most importantly a devoted and much loved wife, mother, and grandmother. Her love and kindness will be remembered and missed by all those whose lives she touched. Faye left an indelible mark on all that knew her. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky on August 12, 1934 to Bessie and Alfred Toney where she grew up with six brothers and sisters. After marrying Willard J. Moore of Clinton, Tennessee, they resided in Knoxville, Tennessee for 46 years where they raised three children. Faye is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Karen Moore of White, GA; her daughter and son-in-law, Julianna Moore and Michael Bump of Kirksville, MO; and her daughter and beloved grandson, Susan and Matthew Messer of Griffin, GA. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Sue Rayburn of Knoxville, TN; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Faye was devoted to and cherished by her family, who looked to her as a constant source of wisdom and comfort. She was beloved by numerous friends and colleagues where she worked at Park West Hospital in Knoxville for many years. On behalf of our mother, we would like to thank our neighbors Fred and Mary Ruth Carter of Knoxville, TN for their support and friendship over the years. Without them, moving our parents to care for them in Georgia would not have been possible. Also, we would like to thank Bill and Carolyn Dunn also of Knoxville for the years of helping our ailing father in the upkeep of our parent's yard. Having a beautiful home was always such a source of joy for both of our parents. A graveside service will be held Monday at Norris Memorial Gardens, Norris, TN with time to be announced in a later edition. In lieu of flowers, our family requests donations be made in Faye Moore's memory to either the American Cancer Society, 871 Weisgarber Rd. Knoxville, TN 37909 or the American Lung Association of Tennessee, One Vantage Way, Suite B130, Nashville, TN 37228. Online condolences may be sent to www.rosemortuary.com.The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM Sunday at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel.
