Stewart, Bain Tate – age 96, of Knoxville, died Saturday, January 21, 2012. Bain was an Army veteran of WW II; he retired from the University of Tennessee as an English Professor. Bain was a member of Church Street United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife of almost 70 years Irene Seale Stewart, two nieces, Nancy Louise Stewart and Eleanor Ragsdale Stewart, and three nephews, James Tate Stewart and his family, Bain McLaurin Stewart and his family, and Grover Glenn Stewart. A burial service will be held at Tazewell Irish Cemetery on Wednesday , January 25th, 2012 at 1:00 pm with Rev. Cabel Trent officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Friends may call at their convenience at Rose Mortuary Mann Heritage Chapel. Online condolences at www.rosemortuary.com
