Sorry to hear of your loss. George was a great friend and pal of mine. I will always remember the great times we had at our liquor store (ADOBE) but remember, even more, the fun we had at Deane Hills golf course for years as well as numerour other courses around the east Tn area that we played together. I will always have fond memories of George as I know you all will.ee

Charlotte and family, You are in my thoughts and prayers. I know George has fought a long hard battle. I have always thought of you all as part of my extended family in Knoxville as Bob and Mother (Mimi Polston) spoke of you all so often. May God give you peace during this time.

George was a great guy and friend. When he was 20, he coached, with my father, a little league baseball team on which I played at Chilhowee Park. He later was a fellow member of the YMCA with Dad....and Dad related many great times of reminiscing with George. I remember well his patented laugh. And don't forget his Tennessee state record of fouling out of a basketball game in 58 seconds. He will be missed.
