Brody, Frances P., age 95 of Knoxville, formerly of Orlando, Florida, died Saturday morning, December 17, 2011 at Parkwest Medical Center. Frances was a member of Temple Beth El, Hadassah, Temple Beth El Sisterhood and the Deane Hill Garden Club. She was a former member of the congregation of Reformed Judeism in Orlando, Florida and the Arnstein Jewish Community Center. Frances was an avid Mahjong player and swimmer. While living in Knoxville, Frances was an active volunteer at East Tennessee Children's Hospital, recording for the blind and won the "School Bell Award" with the Knox County School Systems. She volunteered with Beta House in Orlando, Florida and was chosen as the Senior Volunteer of the Orange County School System. Frances love to help others and was very active with her family. Frances was preceded in death by her husband, Isadore Brody and parents, Israel and Gussie Jacobs Potter. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Ivan W. and Mimi Brody; daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Joel Levitte and Linda and Ray Berlinger; grandchildren, Melissa (Allan) Ringuette, Holly Whitsell, Stacy (Shane) Gevins, Robin (Trey) Halliburton, Galen Berlinger and Iricka Berlinger. Great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Immenhort, J.W., Lukas, Brody, Madeline and Wyatt Ringuette, Zachary and Isabella Gevins, Brody, Jackson and Lacey Halliburon, special grand-dog, Bailey Berlinger and several nieces and nephews. Family and friends will meet by 3:45 PM Tuesday at New Jewish Cemetery for a 4:00 PM graveside service with Rabbi Beth Schwartz officiating.
