BRUNER, VIRGINIA HASSON (GINNY) - August 13, 1930 - December 14, 2011, daughter and only child of, John William Hasson (Jack) and Forde Darden Hasson, passed away early Wednesday morning from Alzheimer's disease complications. Ginny was the devoted wife of forty-seven years to predeceased, Robert Bruner (2000). She was a native of Knoxville and graduated from Knox High School and then the University of Tennessee. She was a member and life long supporter of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. After twenty-five years of service she retired from the graphic arts department of the University of Tennessee in 1974. Ginny was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Knoxville for sixty-nine years. A special thanks goes to the employees of the Manor House and Little Creek Sanitarium. Furthermore, a very special thanks to Ginny's loving caretaker of three years, Sue Johnson, who has provided great joy and comfort to Ginny as her faithful friend and companion during her last years. Receiving of friends is scheduled for Saturday, December 17, 2011 at ten thirty a.m. at Highland Memorial Mausoleum Chapel. Ceremony and interment will follow at eleven o'clock a.m. at Highland Memorial Cemetery. Reverend Dave Ward, First Baptist Church Knoxville, officiating.
